
Six Lucky Castle Lager Consumers Off To Cosafa For Best Brew League finals
The country’s biggest beer makers, Castle Lager will, on Thursday send six lucky consumers to South Africa to represent Zimbabwe in the inaugural Castle Best Brew League finals, a new 5-a-side football tournament for its consumers.
The Zimbabwe representatives, Tonderai Chisoro, Abel Nsingo, Munyaradzi Mtake, Rutendo Ncube, Dadirai Tarusenga and Nqobile Bhebhe were bed farewell by castle Lager brand manager Patricia Murambinda at a send-off ceremony in Harare on Wednesday afternoon.
The tournament, which kicks off on Thursday will seek to fortify the bonds of belonging and true friendship, Castle has come up with an ingenuity that will celebrate friendship amongst its consumers in the Southern African region.
Talking to Sportszone.co.zw, Murambinda said the Best Brew League gives fans an opportunity, the real experience of what COSAFA has been offering elite players.
“I am very excited about the league. Fans and followers of the beautiful game will get a chance to represent their countries through the Best Brew League and have a real experience of what COSAFA has been giving elite players. It is a great league to make friends and start new friendships,” Murambinda said.
The Zimbabwe representatives will be competing against seven other teams from across the SADC region, experiencing the football culture as well as attending the COSAFA final.
The six will receive a one-on-one coaching session and mentorship from Warriors Midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha, who is a Castle Best Brew League Ambassador along with other SADC greats like Dipsy Selolwane, Rotson Kilambe, Lehlohonolo Seema and Brian Baloyi.
In conjunction with its partnership to COSAFA, as the main sponsor of the 2017 COSAFA Castle Cup in the North-West province of South Africa, Castle Lager saw the need to expose their consumers who are avid football fans to international level.
