Saturday English Premier League Wrap

The English Premier League produced a feast of goals in the earlier kick offs as Arsenal moved top of the pile.

The Gunners came from behind with an impressive second-half display to defeat Stoke City 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Charlie Adam buried an early penalty after Joe Allen was fouled by Granit Xhaka.

Theo Walcott netted an equaliser at the end of the first half, though, before Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners a 49th-minute lead.

And second-half substitute Alex Iwobi made sure of all three points with his well taken strike in the 75th minute of the tie.

Elsewhere, Swansea recorded a massive win as they defeated Sunderland 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Gylfi Sigurdsson broke the deadlock with a 51st-minute penalty, before Fernando Llorente added a second just three minutes later.

And the Spanish striker made sure of all three points when he netted his second of the match with 10 minutes remaining.

Burnley stunned Bournemouth with a 3-2 win in the Premier League clash at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

A two-goal blitz in three minutes gave Burnley an early lead through strikes from Jeff Hendrick and James Ward-Prowse, despite

Bournemouth dominating the possession stakes. Eddie Howe's side were, however, rewarded for their patience and quality build-up play, when Benick Afobe netted on the stroke of half-time.

The visitors threw numbers forward in search of goals, but struggled to penetrate a stubborn Burnley defence. Their willingness to attack would prove to be their downfall as George Boyd expertly netted from a counter-attack to put the result beyond any doubt. Charlie Daniels netted a late stunning consolation goal for the Cherries.

Meanwhile, Frazier Campbell scored a late equaliser as Hull City and Crystal Palace shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.

Rober Snodgrass scored the only goal of the first half from the spot after a controversial penalty decision.

The second half brought five goals, with Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha scoring first to make it 2-1.

Adama Diomande found an equaliser two minutes later, before Jake Livermore's strike looked to have won it for the Tigers.

However, Fraizer Campbell headed home a late equaliser to make it 3-3, as the two sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in an entertaining encounter.

Earlier in the day Watford ran out 3-2 winners over an out of sorts Everton side at Vicarage road.

The Toffees' Romelu Lukaku may have opened and closed the scoring but it was the three Watford goals sandwiched between those strikes that saw the hosts to victory.

Stefano Okaka netted a brace, his first goals for the club since signing from Anderlecht, whilst Sebastian Prodl also got himself on the scoresheet.
