Pasca Manhanga scored two brilliant goals as Hown Mine put of one of their best performances this season to beat CAPS United 3-1 at the National Sports Stadium.

It was a memorable victory for How Mine as they managed to score three goals in a game this season. The victory also meant that they managed to collect maximum points against Harare's two big clubs after beating Dynamos earlier in the season.

How Mine showed early intent probing the hosts with nice build ups and it was not surprising when Manhanga put them ahead after 18 minutes with a nice tap in after CAPS goalie Prosper Chigumba had parried back into play a shot from Toto Banda. 

Despite being overwhelmed, Caps United fashioned out a goal two minutes from halftime, Tafadzwa Rusike finishing off a swift counter attack initiated by Ronald Chitiyo from their own half. 

With the tide momentarily swinging in their favour, Caps United could have gotten the lead a minute later when Phineas Bamusi found himself at the end of a Rusike cross unmarked inside the box but he blew his effort over the bar with only the goalkeeper to beat.

The second half started with How Mine reaffirming their dominance in the match and restored the lead from a Themani Masuku rising shot from inside the box.

Manhanga killed any hopes of a Caps United comeback with the best goal of the night when he received the ball from Praise Tonha on the right and with his back against the goal, he intelligently shielded the ball before turning to place it beyond Chigumba.

How Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu was thrilled with the victory, his biggest so far this season.

"This was a crucial win for us not only that we have come to Harare and collected maximum points against big clubs, but also that we scored more that two goals. I am happy that we played as a unit and were strong in all departments," said Kaindu.

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe was so disappointed by the defeat that he refused to talk to the media nor assign his assistants.
