PSL Recieve Match Report On Abandoned Shabanie, CAPS Match
The Castle Lager PSL has confirmed receipt of the official match report of the abandoned Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final between Shabanie Mine and CAPS United from referee Philani Ncube.
The explosive game was abandoned in the 65th minute after second assistant referee Thomas Kusosa was hit by a missile thrown by alleged CAPS United fans for flagging a Kudzai Nyamupfukudza 64th minute goal for offside.
Shabanie Mine had gone into the lead through William Mapfumo whose diving header from a Trevor Ajana corner beat CAPS goalkeeper Sibanda all systems out in the 44th minute.
The Premier Soccer League has also condemned the violence that took place at Maglas. The league chiefs stated that there was no place for violence and hooliganism in the game of football and the PSL will not condone such unacceptable behaviour.
