Prophet Magaya Attracts Thousands Of Footballers
There has been a huge turnout of Premiership players eyeing a move to newly promoted but financially stable Yadah Stars who are owned by Zimbabwe's prominent clergyman Prophet Walter Magaya.
Magaya last week appointed former FC Platinum and Shabanie Mine coach Jairos Tapera as the new gaffer.
Tapera has been conducting trials and last Saturday thousands of players turned up at Alex Sports Club in Harare forcing the club to charge $10 per player as assessment fee.
Yadah’s trials continue today (Tuesday) at Chibuku Stadium in Chitungwiza.
The club intends to use Chibuku Stadium for its home games and Prophet Magaya has promised to renovate the facility into a state of the art arena.
“The turnout has been huge and we are still trimming the players. We are holding two training sessions today (Tuesday) and see from there,” said coach Tapera.
Tapera will be assisted by Kuda Masaraure who qualified the team into the PSL but didn't have the required CAF A License for Premiership coaches.
