Powerful Ngezi Ready For Africa

Ngezi Platinum Stars might be making their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup but the majority of their players are not new to the rigors of the game on the continent.

The Mhondoro based side will leave on Friday morning for Mauritius where they play Pamplemousse in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg on Sunday.

The team departs Harare for Johannesburg at  6:15AM before connecting to Mauritius at 1:35PM.

Coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who was Kalisto Pasuwa’s assistant when Dynamos played in the Champions League three seasons ago,  has a number of players who have played in Africa before and the calculative gaffer is looking up.

Centre back Partson Jaure has had experience with both Dynamos and Zimbabwe’s national team, skipper Liberty Chakoroma was part of the Young Warriors team that qualified for the 2015 All Africa Games while rising keeper Nelson Chadya is a member of the national Under 20 side.

Striker Washington Pakamisa, Qadr Amini, Walter Mukanga and Dominic Mukandi are some of the experienced players in the side.
