Pasuwa On Spotlight
HARARE City are making the final push to try and take on board former Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa.
Insiders at the Sunshine Boys indicate that it has been difficult to get the coach to bounce back early from his rest after AFCON.
The move however comes at a time when Pasuwa is also being regarded as the man who can take over from Lloyd Mutasa and rescue Dynamos’ season.
“I can confirm that two or more clubs have made enquiries but I cannot mention their names,” the coach’s agent Gibson Mahachi said on Monday.
Harare City secretary general Mathew Marara said: “There is nothing much we can say at the moment. Once there is something on the ground, we will notify you.”
Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa said: “It is not an issue that has not been tabled at our meetings so I cannot comment.”
Sportszone however understands that Harare City wanted Pasuwa to be in charge to face Dynamos on Thursday.
The arrangement will be such that Mike Madzivanyika reverts back to his role of being one of the assistant coaches.
“The technical team in place, including manager Mkhuphali Masuku, already enjoys good relations with Pasuwa so it will not be a difficult set-up if he agrees to join them,” said an insider.
