Pasuwa Good As Gone
UNDER fire Warriors coach presented a shallow report on what transpired in Gabon where Zimbabwe managed a single point in three group matches of the Africa Cup of Nations finals which conclude in Libreville on Sunday.
According to sources, the Zimbabwe Football Association’s High Performance Committee which sat with Pasuwa on Friday morning was not amused with the gaffer’s report.
“The coach presented a nine-page report which the members of the committee felt did not fully address the technical and tactical strengths and shortcomings of the team.
“Instead the committee members felt the report was more of a narrative that scratched the surface without giving a lot of detail,” sources quoted by The Herald claimed.
In the report Pasuwa talked about lack of experience at the Nations Cup level, inadequate preparations and lapses in concentration as the Warriors’ biggest setbacks.
The High Performance Committee will forward Pasuwa’s report to the ZIFA board which is expected to sit anytime next week to decide the coach’s fate.
However, Pasuwa’s fate is as good as sealed because most members of the ZIFA board are against the extension of the coach’s contract which expired on February 1.
