Past Is Past, Warriors Is the Future - Darikwa
ENGLAND based Zimbabwean defender Tendai Darikwa has committed his future to the Warriors and wants to take part when the 2019 AFCON qualifiers begin next year.
Darikwa finally came back home on Monday and is expected to make his Warriors debut in an international friendly match against Lesotho in Maseru on Wednesday.
Zimbabwe will also play Namibia on Saturday.
The Nottingham Forest right back encountered some problems when he tried to come and play for Zimbabwe some years back but the former Burnley player says “all that is in the past.”
“I don’t want to speak about the past, the past is gone now. I am 25 and maybe then, it wasn’t time for me to come here,” said Darikwa when he touched down at the Harare International Airport Monday afternoon.
“I have come to win, I want to win. We are going to the Africa Cup of Nations. We have to qualify,” he said.
Zimbabwe resume their 2019 qualifiers with a match against Congo in Brazzaville on March 23, 2018.
