Oscar Wants Out

ZIMBABWE international Oscar Machapa is making frantic efforts to try and return home from DRC amid growing unrest in Kinshasa, SportsZone can reveal.

The AS VITA star opened up on Friday afternoon that he will be heading home as soon as he finds a flight out of the country.

“I have to come home and I’m trying to find a flight that can take me out of here. I have tried to be strong but I’m getting terrified by the day. The protests in the streets and presence of soldiers are not looking good and its better I leave now,” said Machapa.

This month dozens of dangerous prisoners escaped from jail after a rebel attack in Kinshasa. That and the growing protests in the country seem to have created a lot of uncertainty.

Machapa still has a contract with AS VITA which ends in June 2018. “I guess I will have to negotiate for a termination because I can’t handle this anymore,” he said.
