OG's Name Gold Cup Squad

Old Georgians Rugby have embraced youth ahead of the Gold Cup tournament after they included the Zimbabwe Under-19 duo of Shingi Katsvere and Moses Gunda in their campaign squad that gets underway with a trip Dows South on Saturday.

The two were part of the Young Sables that finished second to Namibia in the Junior Africa Cup in Windhoek two weeks ago and they find themselves amongst the first Zimbabwean player to take part in the South African Gold Cup competition.

With a lot of experience in the squad, coach Grant Mitchell has included quite a number of players who have earned national caps in both the XVs with the Sables and the Sevens version with the Cheetahs.

Captain Kingsley Lang, Jakov Jakov, Keith Murray, Fortune Chipendu, and Jacques Leitao are some of the forwards that have played Test rugby while Graham Kaulnback, Lenience Tambwera, Boyd Rouse, Stephan Hunduza and Kuda Chiwanza are also part of the Cheetahs and Sables squads.

Besides Gunda and Katsvere, the squad also has Farai Jijita, Brandon Boshi and Tawanda Ngosi who were part of the Young Sables squads over the years and this gives a lot of balance between  experience and youth to the Dragons.
