Nyikadzino Feels The Heat
Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino has admitted that he is feeling pressure at the helm of the Gweru side after a 2-1 home loss to Dynamos Saturday.
Chapungu put up a decent performance against Dynamos but like what has become like a script for them this season, they surrendered an early lead.
“Surely I am feeling the pressure and the players are feeling the pressure as well. What is disheartening mostly is that we are playing well but luck is not on our side. We dominate play, create chances but fail to score. On the other end we concede soft goals," said Nyikadzino.
" We will go back to the drawing board and chat a way to move out of the position we are in. We will definitely bounce back but we need a quick response to relieve ourselves of the pressure."
Chapungu had a poor start to the season winning only once, when they managed to overcome Hwange at home. The Airforce side has failed to repeat their form of last season which saw them reach the halfway mark in the top four.
Leftback Hillary Mugoniwa had given them a hope to belief early in the first half against Dembare but two quick goals in succession from Masimba Mambare and King Nasama left them glued in the relegation zone.
The script was the same in their last home match when they allowed Ngezi Platinum to snatch a late equaliser.
