No Business In The Offseason For Herentals

HERENTALS are sticking to their guns and will not be make any off-season player-transfer transaction ahead of their maiden Premier Soccer League debut.

Instead, the Herentals management has faith and confidence in its 2017 Northern Region Soccer League championship winning squad to do battle in the top flight league.

“No new players,” Herentals manager Oliver ‘Olaya’ Chirenga told H-Metro.

“We are not buying any new players and we are not letting anyone go. We want the youngsters to enjoy the space they worked hard for. We want them to have a chance of playing in Premier League.”

This means Herentals have managed to retain all its key players notably the lethal forwards in Blessing Majarira, Archmore Majarira, Innocent Benza, Denzel Chimwemwe who contributed a combined 40 goals last season.

The middle of the park is compact with the availability of workhorse William Kapamha, Richard Hachiro and Tafadzwa Chitukutuku.

Meanwhile, the backline is just as good with Brighton Majarira, Blessing Maunganidze, right back-cum-winger Carlos Mavhurume, Peter Chiota and goalkeeper Kudakwashe Magama.

Herentals are having a steady build up to their pre-season training with the squad undergoing physical fitness sessions.

Safeguarding their Premiership status will be top priority for Herentals this season and if this according to script, the long term goal will be challenging for the league title in 2019.
