No Bad Win For Young Sables
Young Sables coach Bob Mahari says their win over Kenya in the Junior Africa Cup is all they were looking for.
The Churchill Bulldogs assistant coach believes it was not about the margin of win (a close 27-26 win) but getting the all-important victory that sailed them into the final against Namibia who thrashed Tunisia 63-0 over.
“It was a close game in the end but the most important thing is that we managed to get a win,” said Mahari.
Zimbabwe take on Namibia on Saturday in Windhoek in the final that also serves as the Wordl Rugby Under-20 Trophy qualifier, the winner getting all the bragging rights.
“But there is a lot of work to be done. On Friday we will implement game plan for the Namibia game, then in the afternoon go through it all in a 30 minute late afternoon session.
“Yesterday (Thursday after the Kenya game) we had a recovery session and a massage, before havig a video review.”
The Young Sables also took time of their schedule, refreshing with a two hour Windhoek tour late afternoon before a light corrective session.
