Ngoma, Kamusoko Lose Coach
Young Africans Coach Hans Van der Pluijm has resigned from his post with the Tanzania giants.
The coach stepped down a few days after his team walloped Mtibwa Sugar 6-2.
But it appears the Tanzanian giants, who are home to Zimbabwean duo of Thabani Kamusoko and Donald Ngoma, no longer had confidence in the coach who delivered them two league titles in the last two seasons.
The Dutch mentor told cafonline that he decided to step down after being frustrated by the executive.
“I have decided to step down. I see a lot of things happening and the management has not given me a clear explanation. I have heard that they want to make me technical director but I don’t want it,” said Pluijm.
“I can’t say more for now. I was not in a situation to do anything more than that. I am looking forward to a new life,” he added.
Yanga are second in the league, eight points adrift of rivals and pacesetters Simba.
Yanga general secretary, Deusdedit Baraka also told cafonline that Pluijim assistant coach, Juma Mwambusi will be the caretaker coach for the club.
“Pluijm has resigned and we have approved his decision. For now, the team will be under the guidance of assistant coach, Juma Mwambusi. We will name his replacement later,” said the official.
