Ngezi Platinum Stars overtook Dynamos into second place after edging Harare City 2-1 at the Baobab on Friday afternoon.

Ngezi are now two points behind Chicken Inn who have 51 points.

Qadr Amini’s shot beat City keeper Tatenda Munditi on the near post after only 14 minutes before Tichaona Mabvura doubled the lead two minutes after the restart.

Harare City missed a penalty in the 78th minute through goalie Munditi after Malvin Gaki was hacked down.

City’s consolation came in the 87th minute from defender Jimmy Tigere.
