Showing impeccable timing, Neymar waited until just after Barcelona's shock 2-1 defeat against newly promoted Alaves to announce to the world that he's planning to launch a musical career.

The Brazilian star broke the news via his official Twitter account, confirming that this coming week will herald the release of his debut song.

"This Wednesday I begin my music career and I'm going to release my first song on Facebook," the Barca striker said.

"We will have 'Neymusico.' Share it."
