Former Warriors assistant coach Mkuphali Masuku has become the latest victim of the new order in the Premier Soccer League after he was demoted at Harare City due to a lack of requisite coaching qualifications.

New ZIFA regulations bar coaches without a CAF A coaching certificate from seating on the technical bench of any Premiership team and Masuku – a holder of a CAF B and Uefa B certificates – has fallen victim.

Mike Madzivanyika has immediately been installed as the new Harare City coach.

City had previously remained adamant that ZIFA’s directive was not enforceable but gave in Monday and elevated former assistant Madzivanyika to the head coach position.
