
Mutekede Names Warriors Squad For November Friendlies
A Warriors Squad has been announced for upcoming friendlies against Lesotho and Namibia, and Wilson Mutekede, the ZIFA Technical Director, will be the interim coach for the two games. Mutekede is highly- qualified, he was Shabanie Mine coach before taking the ZIFA TD job earlier in 2017.
Mutekede will be assisted by his longtime friend and confidant, Lloyd Chitembwe.
We play Lesotho on November 8 in Maseru and Namibia in Windhoek three days later.
Meanwhile, Mutekede has announced his 22 member squad and it features three players with Zimbabwe roots who have not committed to the Warriors as yet: Tendayi Darikwa (Nottingham Forest), Kundai Benyu (Celtic), and Admiral Muskwe of Leister City. Macauley Bonne of Leyton Orient who has previously played for the Warriors in a friendly is also part of the squad.
