Mutasa Heartbroken As Power Base Shifts To Bosso

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa was left heartbroken after his charges surrendered the lead with fifteen minutes before the end of the match, to give Highlanders the bragging rights of the biggest duel on the local calendar.

Dynamos looked on course to a victory with only a quarter of an hour left but captain Stephen Alimenda, playing to the gallery unnecessarily gave away a corner kick which Highlanders utilised.

Eric Mudzingwa ‘s cross was met with a firm header by defender Tendai Ndlovu sparking Highlanders’ come back in a space of two minutes.

Ralph Matema killed the game as a contest two minutes later with a header past Tatenda Mukuruva.

Mutasa, who ranks as the first coach at Dynamos in ten years to lose twice to Bosso, blamed his players for the defeat.

“It’s very disappointing when the youngsters want to play to the gallery instead of playing the basics.

“We conceded two stupid goals in two minutes which should not be the case at this stage. It’s very painful to lose in such a way,” lamented Mutasa.

While Mutasa was moaning, Highlanders coach Erol Akbay was reveling in the shift of power base to Bosso after a decade of dominance by Dynamos.

“It’s good to win such a big match and complete a double over them.

“We now have the bragging rights of this big fixture after beating them earlier.

“We dominated play in the first half and should have scored more goals,” said Akbay.

“Prince Dube and Nhlanhla Ndlovu showed they are the future of Bosso.”

However the day belonged to central defender Peter Muduhwa who shut out Dynamos strikers for the entire match before providing the killer cross for Matema to score the winner.

Highlanders bombarded Dynamos goal in the opening twenty five minutes but found Mukuruva unyielding with the Warriors first choice producing six crucial saves.

Masimba Mambare gave Dynamos the lead on the half hour mark against the run of play but Bosso rallied back in the second half to get the deserved win.
