Musona Set To Join Polokwane City

FC Platinum midfielder Walter Musona is on the verge of joining South African premiership side Polokwane City, with talks between the two clubs set to be concluded this week.

Musona who was part of the FC Platinum team touring South Africa, returned to Zvishavane on Tuesday to get his clearance letter.

Anchorman Gerald Takwara is also reported to have made the grade at Highlands Park although FC Platinum professed ignorance over his intended move.

FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed that Musona is on his way to Polokwane City.

“Yes I can confirm that Polokwane are interested in Walter Musona. We are still negotiating with them but we are almost done with the talks. A deal is imminent in the next few days,” said Chizondo.

“As for Gerald Takwara I can’t comment on that one because as a club what we have on the table is the Musona issue.”

Musona has been one of the rising players on the domestic scene. Last year he was voted among the best 11 players in the league. Musona a product of the Aces Youth Academy will be making his second move outside the country with the first one ending prematurely in 2015. The 21 year old together with former teammate Wisdom Mutasa cut short their stay at top Slovakian side SK Seneca claiming they felt unwanted at the club. His brother Knowledge made his name at Kaizer Chiefs before moving to Europe.
