Mushekwi Leading Dalian Yifang’s Bid For Super League Promotion

Former CAPS United striker Nyasha Mushekwi continues to soar in the Chinese League One as he leads the scorer's charts with 13 goals.

Last season he ended as the second-highest scorer with 19 goals, behind Brazilian Luis Fabiano who finished the season on top with 22 strikes.

Mushekwi was on target again this past weekend scoring in his third successive game for his Chinese League One side Dalian Yifang and getting his tally to 13 in 18 games.

The ex-Warriors striker slammed home the opener against Qingdao Huanghai on Saturday, in a game that eventually ended 1-1 but had no effect on Yifang’s standing as the leaders of the Chinese second tier league.

The 'Blue Hawks' currently top the standings with 41 points from 18 games, with the 29 year-old having scored 13 of their 31 league goals so far this season.

Two teams will gain promotion to the Super League at the end of the season, and Mushekwi’s team is enjoying a five-point cushion in the promotion bracket.
