Murape Demands Commitment

Ailing Premiership giants Dynamos on Tuesday morning welcomed back Murape Murape marking an emotional return, holding his first training session with the Glamor Boys as assistant coach but was quick to demand a return of “commitment and the true Dynamos culture.”

“It’s really great and emotional to be back at the team I love so much. I fought so many battles with this team some so successful and at times we found the going tough, hopefully things change for the better.

“As the technical team we want to see an attitude such that players have to be prepared to die for the team. It’s better that we have players who show commitment even when they are substituted. We are the big boys and it has to show by our attitude and how we apply ourselves on the field of play and that is what we are demanding from the players and not to play the blame game.

“Once one dons the Dynamos jersey commitment has to show on the part of the players and they have to please the fans because at the end of the month they are being played. Players have to adopt the real Dynamos culture and if they are coming from other teams then they should be quick to adapt to our culture,” said Murape following his side’s Tuesday morning training session at Hellenic.

With Dynamos lying second from the bottom on the log standings, Murape knows a lot of work has to be done but he believes everyone within the team have to play their role if they are to see the glory days back.

“We need to encourage the players a lot because we are in difficult time and encouragement would be key because things are not going on well. We have to step up and bring results. Of course results have not been coming but it is about players showing character and how we are able to come out of that situation.

“We are back in team and working as a unit but it will not be up to me alone to carry the team forward but it’s a collective responsibility to everyone involved in Dynamos from the supporters, technical team, the players and the executive.

“As Dynamos we have as many enemies as our admires so the key is to pull in one direction so the supporters have to play their role and cheer-up the team even when the chaps are down and we will try our best,” added Murape.
