Mupandare Can't Question My Loyalty - Peter Ndlovu
Zimbabwean football legend Peter Ndlovu thinks it’s unfair for people to question his loyalty to the country’s cause in the wake of the Khama Billiat which has dominated the build up to the Warriors’ 2019 Afcon qualifier against Liberia on Sunday.
Ndlovu is the team manager for Mamelodi Sundowns where injured Billiat is a star player and it appeared some sections of the football fraternity wanted to blame the former Warriors skipper for blocking Billiat from featuring for Zimbabwe.
Warriors’ team manager Wellington Mupandare also appeared to question Ndlovu’s loyalty in some of the statements he made about the saga.
The duo jetted in and out of Zimbabwe on Wednesday after some assessments with the Warriors medical team.
“I served this country very well and many times I would leave England after playing a match to come and play another game here straight from an aeroplane.
“So it is unfair for people to question my loyalty,” Ndlovu told the media before he flew back to South Africa in the company of Billiat.
Ndlovu’s loyalty to the nation has been questioned and his family is also not happy about it.
“I am not angry, but Mupandare should not question my loyalty. My family is not happy about it. I do not stoop so low,” thundered Ndlovu.
