Mucherahowa On Ntouba's Red Card Saga

DYNAMOS’ most successful captain ever Memory Mucherahowa has castigated ZIFA for rescinding Christain Epoupa’s red card and believes such a decision will kill the players’ spirit.

Mucherahowa who is now based in the United Kingdom posted his feelings on his Facebook page a few hours after ZIFA released it statement on Epoupa.

The Cameroonian was shown a straight red for head butting Highlanders defender Peter Muduhwa during a tension filled Battle of Zimbabwe played at Rufaro last Sunday.

The game ended 1-1 with Epoupa scoring for DeMbare while Rahman Kutsanzira equalized for Bosso.

But it is the decision by ZIFA to nullify Epoupa’s red card which has sparked widespread debate among Zimbabwean football lovers including DeMbare’s former skipper Memory Mucherahowa.

“Who ever made the decision to revoke the red card is not helping Dynamos, but killing the spirit of fair play in football and that of the young Dynamos players who are trying very hard to win the league fairly.#wewanttowinfair” posted Mucherahowa.
