More Problems For DeMbare

DYNAMOS have been dealt a major blow ahead of this Sunday’s Harare Derby with defender Elisha Muroiwa out with a nagging injury while Warriors international Tatenda Mukuruva is now a major doubt after missing training attending the ongoing Limpopo gate trial.

The Zimbabwe international defender has been battling a nagging ankle injury which he suffered at this year’s Cosafa Cup in Namibia.

Mukuruva has been on and off training attending court business where he is one of the State’s witness in the ongoing match fixing trial at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.

DeMbare are desperate for a victory that could them in contention for a top four finish and also avoid losing back to back to old rivals Makepekepe.

“We don’t have many injuries save for Elisha (Muroiwa),” said Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa,

“You saw everyone taking part in the training.

“Tatenda(Mukuruva) had to go to the court, but we are considering him for the match. He is still part of Dynamos so we will see how he responds when he comes in.

“Yesterday he was around but today he missed but I am sure tomorrow he will be around so we will see if he is in the right frame of mind,” said Mutasa.

Obey Mwerahari and Marshal Machazani are expected to play in central defence in the absence of Muroiwa while Tonderai Mateyaunga will likely play if Mukuruva fails to make the cut.

Log leaders Caps United, who are chasing a first league title in 11 years, will be without the suspended duo of leading scorer Leonard Tsipa and speedy winger Phineas Bhamusi.
