Mkuruva inline for Cape Town debut
WARRIORS number one keeper Tatenda Mkuruva is in line to make his debut appearance for new club Cape Town City in the Nedbank Cup this Sunday.
The 21-year-old former Dynamos keeper joined the Cape Town side as a free agent after this year’s Afcon finals in Gabon in which the Warriors managed just a draw and two defeats.
He has so far managed to make three match day squads but is yet to make his debut as coach Eric Tinkler prefers 35-year-old Shu-Aib Walters ahead of the Zimbabwe international.
Walters is however suspended for this weekend’s Nedbank Cup tie against lower league side Acornbush United leaving Mkuruva with a realistic chance of making his first appearance.
