Zimbabwe Senior womens football team, Mighty Warriors’ preparations for a major international tournament has once again had a false start with the girls failing to group on Monday with just over  a month before the Total African Women Championship finals begin in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The continental women football jamboree will run from November 19 to December 3.

Zimbabwe had poor preparations for the Olympic Games with Zifa later on admitting to a shoddy job before promising to do a better for the continental finals.

“The team will now be announced next week,” said Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela.

The Mighty Warriors have had just a single international friendly match since their tour of duty at the Olympics.

They beat Egypt at Rufaro Stadium and fears are growing everyday that coach Shadreck Mlauzi might not have enough time to prepare for the showcase.
