Zimbabwe were drawn against hosts Cameroon, neighbours and perennial rivals South Africa and Egypt in Group A of the 2016  Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon on Sunday.

The tournament will be played in Cameroon from 19 November to 3 December 2016.

Cameroon will be looking forward to atone for the agony they suffered after they were booted out of the Olympic Games qualifiers by the Mighty Warriors.

Zimbabwe and South Africa will be looking at building from their display at the Rio Olympics where they were the only African teams competing in the women’s football event.

The Mighty Warriors were also paired against Egypt whom they play in a preparatory match in Harare on Tuesday.

Defending champions and the most successful country in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria are in group B alongside Mali, Ghana and Kenya who are making their first appearance at the tournament.

Nigeria who have dominated the tournament will be looking at winning it for a record 10th time.
