Mhofu Bounces Back

Legendary Coach Sunday Chidzambwa has bounced back into the Zimbabwe National men’s football team following his appointment by Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) to lead the Warriors at the upcoming COSAFA tournament in South Africa from June 25-July 9.

Chidzambwa, the first coach to take Zimbabwe to the Africa Cup of Nations finals, will be in charge during this specific campaign while Norman Mapeza remains the interim coach in charge of the AFCON campaign which got off to a flier with a 3-0 win over Liberia. 

Wellington Mpandare who was appointed before the Liberia match remains the team manager for the Warriors.

ZIFA also made appointments for the age group teams with former Highlanders defender Bekithemba Ndlovu taking charge of the national under-20 team while Moses Chunga will be heading the Under-17 side. 

Sithethelelwe Sibanda was elevated to the position of head coach for the Mighty Warriors with Rose Mugadza bouncing back in the national set up as the new Under-20 head coach. Evelyn Rimai and Prosper Manzunga will be in charge of the Under-17 and Under-15 teams respectively.
