Mhari Extends Stay At FC Platinum...... Amidu Deal Imminent

Petros Mhari has extended his stay at FC Platinum with another two years, putting to rest speculation over his future.

Mhari who captained FC Platinum to second position in the league this past season, was linked with a move from the Zvishavane based side as his current contracts ends at the end of December.

“We are pleased to announce that Mhari has agreed to stay at the club for another two years. As you know Mhari was one of the most consistent players at the club and also in the country," Chido Chizondo the club's spokesperson said.

Mhari had stellar season keeping 18 clean sheets which saw him being voted the best goalkeeper and the third best player in the league after Leonard Tsipa and Hardlife Zvirekwi.

FC Platinum are also said to be closer to signing Dynamos midfielder Brett Amidu.

“As for Brett Amidu, we are still negotiating and the negotiations are going on well," added Chizondo.

SportsZone also understands that the club is closer to capturing Talent Chawapihwa who contract with ZPC Kariba is up.

FC Platinum are also pursuing Bulawayo City midfielder Xolisani Moyo.
