Methembe Back In Dugout
BANTU Rovers head coach Methembe Ndlovu is back in the dugout after a lengthy absence since leaving the country to attend to club business overseas.
In his absence, Bantu Rovers succumbed to three straight defeats lately leaving the team deep in the murky waters of relegation on 17th position with six points from 10 matches.
They have a game in hand against Caps United.
The Bulawayo based team went down 3-0 to Black when assistant coach Joseph Sibindi was in charge followed by 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Shabanie Mine FC.
The third defeat was at the hands of Harare City on a two nil score line at Luveve Stadium last weekend.
Now the struggling side faces ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium on Saturday (tomorrow).
And Ndlovu concedes that it will not be easy facing opponents coached by veteran coach Sunday Chidzambwa.
“We all know what Chidzambwa has achieved and done for Zimbabwean football both as a player and a coach. I have a lot of respect for him and it will certainly not be easy playing an experienced team like ZPC Kariba.
“But in football we have seen countless matches when underdogs have gone on to surprise experienced teams. Our jobs as coaches is done during training sessions and on match day it is up to the players to step up and do their best,” said Ndlovu.
ZPC Kariba are enjoying a fairly good season and currently sit on fourth position with 19 points from 11 matches.
