Memo Feels Sorry For Mutasa
DYNAMOS’ most successful captain ever Memory Mucherahowa feels sorry for his former teammate and current DeMbare coach Lloyd Mutasa who has been given a three-match ultimatum to save his job.
Mutasa is winless in the 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League and last Sunday he watched in agony as his charges succumbed to a painful 0-1 defeat at the hands of city rivals Caps United at the National Sports.
Subsequently, the Dynamos executive met in the capital Tuesday and decided to give Mutasa three matches to save his job.
Mutasa has to win against Bulawayo City at Rufaro on Sunday, Chapungu at Ascot the following week and against Harare City in Week 10.
However, Mucherahowa who skippered DeMbare to the 1998 Caf Champions League final, feels Mutasa is not the problem.
“Dynamos needs to be run like a professional club, the main thing for now is to change the whole structure from the top,” remarked Mucherahowa.
“Dynamos is moving backwards just because of a few individuals who either think they can turn things around or they are greedy, using this institute as their private business.”
DeMbare host equally troubled Bulawayo City at Rufaro on Sunday with three points out of a possible 21.
