HWANGE football club’s find of season Gift Mbweti has been named the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Player of the Month for August.

Mbweti had a brilliant month during which he rose to the top of the Golden Boot Race, a position he shares with Caps United’s veteran goal poacher Leonard Tsipa who also has eight goals to his name.

The Premier Soccer League also announced Tuesday afternoon that Sunday Chidzambwa of ZPC Kariba had been voted the best coach for the same period.

Chidzambwa’s ZPC Kariba picked up 10 points during the month, moving up to fourth and they are now nine points behind log leaders FC Platinum who has 44 points.
