Mathew Rusike Joins Top South African Side
ZIMBAWEAN striker Mathew Rusike joined Cape Town City on deadline day Wednesday, just a day after fellow countryman Evans Rusike completed his deal with SuperSport United.
Rusike left Tunisian outfit Club Africain in October last year and joins Cape Town City as a free agent.
Cape Town City are coached by former Bafana Bafana striker Benny McCarthy and sit on second position on the ABSA Premiership table with 31 points, three adrift of Mamelodi Sundowns.
Rusike previously joined Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the 2012/13 campaign following a dispute-laden move from Jomo Cosmos.
The 27-year-old saw limited game-time at Chiefs before moving overseas when his contract expired in June 2015.
Rusike's also had stints at Nacional Madeira, Halmstads and Helsingborgs IF.
