Four teams who are front-runners for the 2017 Castle Lager PSL championship title performed below par in the Chibuku Super Cup this past weekend as all, save for Chicken Inn whose game against Yadah was abandoned after the Game cox walked off the pitch protesting a penalty, were knocked out in the first round. 

Leaders Dynamos, second-placed Chicken Inn, FC Platinum who are third and fourth-placed Ngezi will have to focus all their energy on the title race starting with match day 26 which will be played mid-week on Wednesday and Thursday.

Chicken Inn travels to Harare to face defending champions CAPS United while Ngezi Platinum will be away to ZPC Kariba. Leaders Dynamos travel to Maglas Stadium for a date against Shabanie on Thursday.
