Mapeza To Assess The West African Duo

CHAMPIONSHIP winning coach Norman Mapeza has started assessing the West African duo of Ibrahim Dauda of Ghana and Albert Eonde of Cameroon as FC Platinum seeks to strengthen their strike force ahead of the 2018 Champions League campaign.

Both Dauda and 19-year-old Eonde are strikers and they are already in Zvishavane.

Mapeza has also added steel in midfield through the acquisition of Liberty Chakoroma from Ngezi Platinum while the arrival of Never Tigere from ZPC Kariba and Rahman Kutsanzira from Highlanders should add depth to the squad.

The promising Kelvin Madzongwe has also joined FC Platinum from Bulawayo City.

“Remember we need to submit a squad to CAF early, so there are players who here who need to be assessed by the coaches,” said the club’s spokesperson Chido Chizondo.

The Zimbabwean champions were drawn to play Angolan league winners Deportivo Lero Agosto in the preliminary round with a potential clash against South African side Bidvest Wits awaiting in the first round.
