Mapeza Praises Match Winners
WALTER MUSONA was in impressive form in the Castle Lager PSL match against Dynamos at Mandava Stadium on Saturday but his gaffer wants more from the starlet.
FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says Musona, young brother to Warriors talisman Knowledge, is “fantastic” going forward.
However, he is concerned by the way the forward shies away from defensive duties.
“He needs to work on the defensive side of his game,” said Mapeza speaking after the team’s win.
Musona was a menace to the DeMbare defence with his pace and trickery and capped a fine afternoon by scoring FC Platinum’s second goal, after Kelvin Moyo had opened the scoring.
The former Aces youth Academy player was by far the man of the match and his form will be key as Pure Platinum Play seek a maiden league title.
Kelvin Moyo also came in for special praises from Mapeza although the FC Platinum gaffer kept on referring to him as Elvis. Elvis and Kelvin Moyo are twins and Mapeza has problems in telling one from the other.
“The funny part of it is I told Elvis (Kelvin) to go forward because he usually likes to sit back. When his scored I reminded the guys of what I said before the game,” said Mapeza.
