Mapeza Faces Best Defence
FC PLATINUM have a mammoth task at Morris Depot on Tuesday when they face the Premiership’s best defence.
Black Rhinos have conceded only a goal so far.
Their coach Stanford “Stix” Mtizwa however says they cannot afford to relax as Norman Mapeza’s charges “are capable of anything”.
“I have told the boys that teams like Chicken Inn and FC Platinum are very strong and we cannot afford to take them lightly. They are capable of anything,” Stix told H-Metro.
“So we know exactly what we are up against and we have to be at our very best if we are win the game.”
Black Rhinos have picked up nine points from three games. They dismissed Chicken Inn 1-0 in their last game.
They have a game in hand, lost one match and they have given everyone a reason to believe they can be one of the 2017 dark horses.
“Our aim remains that of trying to survive relegation and the best way to do so is to try and win matches no matter how difficult. The game against FC Platinum is one such match.
“I can’t talk about the title at all. Maybe when we push and the time comes that we can talk about that, we will. For now it is all about surviving in what is a very difficult league.
“The good thing is that the boys are very confident and morale is high after winning games so far. Now we have to try as much as we can to afford being complacent in the coming days,” said Stix.
