Norman Mapeza dedicated the Castle Challenge Cup to the FC Platinum fans who have stood by him during his reign.

The challenge match was a one-off clash meant to commemorate Premier Soccer League (PSL)’s 25th anniversary.

FC platinum beat Harare city 2-1 at Mandava on Saturday courtesy of goals by Rodwell Chinyengetere and veteran forward Mkokeli Dube while Harare city responded through substitute Kuda Kumwala.

"This is not about myself it’s about the fans, this is for the fans, "said Mapeza.

Mapeza also led Pure Platinum Play to their maiden PSL Championship title last weekend.

Harare city coach Philani Ncube said he was not disappointed because it's normal to lose games.

"This game has three results, lose draw and win and today we have lost though we played well, "said Ncube
