Manchester United Held By Hull City

Despite dominating chances and possession, Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by a resolute Hull City outfit in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Manchester United blew a big chance to gain ground on the Premier League's top five as they dominated Hull City, but were unable to find the back of the net with Eldin Jakupovic pulling off a number of excellent saves on the night.

The Red Devils were on the front foot early on, but Jakupovic gave a glimpse of what was to come when he got down low to deny Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the quarter-hour mark.

The Tiger's sat back and looked for counter-attacking opportunities, limiting the amount of chances created by both sides in the first half.

However, Paul Pogba blew a great chance on the stroke of half time, after being played through one-on-one with the Hull stopper, with the Switzerland international again coming out on top.

After the break, Marcus Rashford somehow poked a shot from inside the six-yard box wide, before Ibrahimovic blazed another chance inches wide.

Juan Mata was the next to try his luck, after making a space for a shot with a bit of skill, but was also thwarted by Jakupovic.

United pushed hard for a goal late on and the Hull keeper earned a standing ovation when he denied a Marcos Rojo header deep into injury time to secure his side a point.
