
Manchester City, Gunners Hit Four
Manchester City and Arsenal maintained their rampant start to the Premier League campaign with more more goals apiece in wins on Saturday.
Arsenal played the early kick-off at Sunderland and came out 4-1 winners, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud each scoring a brace and Jermain Defoe netting from the penalty spot for the Black Cats.
City had no trouble at West Bromwich Albion either, Sergio Aguero netting two in the first half and Ilkay Guendogan a further two in the second for a 4-0 victory.
Tottenham Hotspur were held 1-1 at home by Leicester City. Vincent Janssen scored a penalty for Spurs just before half-time but three minutes into the second stanza Ahmed Musa got his second goal for the Foxes to draw his side level.
City and Arsenal both have 23 points but the Manchester team remain top of the table on goal difference, 15 to the Gunners’ 13.
