Malajila's Academy In Education Drive


Cuthbert Malajila’s Kadoma based football academy CUMA, has pledged to play a key role in uplifting education through sport in different schools in the mining town.

CUMA is a joint venture between Warriors striker Malajila and Kadoma businessman Hubert Manyowa.

Speaking at a prize giving day at Sir John Kennedy Primary School in Kadoma recently, Manyowa said the academy will play a big role in ensuring a better education is availed to students.

“As a club CUMA Football Academy’s motto is Education through Sport and we strive for a better education for all students.

“As we speak, we have partnered different schools we are working with here in Kadoma and our goal is to find build the stars of tomorrow today.

“Not all students will go all the way and pass in their exams, some are gifted in sports so let’s support all the students,” he said.

CUMA Football Academy finished third behind Makwiro and Blue Jets in their debut campaign in Division Two B.

Manyowa said the club is now targeting promotion to Division One.

“We enjoyed our debut campaign in Division Two, we played some beautiful football.

“Next season we are targeting promotion to Division One and I am convinced that we will achieve it”.
