MIGHTY WARRIORS’ top striker Rutendo “Madzimai” Makore scored her fifth goal of the tournament as Zimbabwe came back from behind to snatch a draw against Zambia in a Cosafa Women’s Championship Group A match played at Barbourfields Friday afternoon.

Barbara Banda put the Zambians ahead after 26 minutes before on fire striker Makore levelled the issue with a 48th minute striker.

The result left both nations tied on four points.

Zimbabwe beat Madagascar 4-0 in their opener while Zambia walloped Malawi 6-3 in the corresponding fixture.

Malawi are third with three points after their 6-3 thrashing of whipping girls Madagascar in the other Group A match played Friday afternoon.

Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors will complete their group games with a date against Malawi while Zambia have a relatively easy fixture against Madagascar.
