Mahachi Future Unclear
Kudakwashe Mahachi’s future is still unclear despite reverting back to parent club Mamelodi Sundowns player following a season long loan at Golden Arrows.
Sundowns maintain they want to loan him out again. The former Chicken Inn midfielder is not training with the Sundowns first team as he awaits a meeting to map his future.
The South African Champions said that they have re-acquired the exciting midfielder from Arrows in yet another confusing twist though Coach Pitso Mosimane appears to have ruled him out of his immediate plans having brought back Percy Tau as back-up for Keagan Dolly.
Though the departure of Cuthbert Malajila and Botswana international Mogakolodi Ngele has opened up the door for The Brazilians to register Mahachi as one of five foreign players he appears to not be a priority at Chloorkop.
A number of ABSA PSL teams have shown interest in Mahachi including Kaizer Chiefs, Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows who are also keen on bringing him back into their fold.
In 2015 Mahachi threatened to quit football and concentrate on his studies as he was not registered by Sundowns for the ABSA Premiership season and could not get a loan deal with other South African club most of whom had exhausted their foreign quota.
In an interview with the Herald, Mahachi said, “I am quitting football for a while maybe a year or two.
“I am going back to school to do Technical Graphics, it happens in football and I don’t know how it happens but I have made my decision. Weeks later he signed a five year deal with Sundowns.
