Magaya's Yadah Stars Awarded Points Again
EASTERN Region Division One side, Yadah Stars have been awarded maximum points from their abandoned match against Prime Rangers to take their tally to 64, two points behind log leaders Buffaloes.
This was the second abandoned match involving Prophet Walter Magaya’s Yadah Stars FC after their match against Surrey Abattoirs also failed to come an end owing to perceived biased match officiating.
Yadah Stars have been the biggest winners on both occasions with the Eastern Region administration awarding them maximum points.
The curtain comes down on the Eastern Region Division One 2016 season this coming weekend when Buffaloes host city rivals Tenax while Yadah Stars travel to Gutu.
Buffaloes have one hand on the league championship trophy and will now need to beat Tenax by any margin in the last match of the season to pave way for a quick return to the country’s top-flight
league.
The Mutare soldiers did themselves a huge favour when they salvaged a hard fought 2-1 away triumph over Prime Rangers on a day that their nemesis in the race for the title, Yadah Stars settled for a nil-all
stalemate against Mutoko Traders during the penultimate round of league fixtures last weekend.
