THE President Cup, which has been organised by ZIFA boss Philip Chiyangwa to celebrate the ascendancy to power of new Zimbabwe leader Emmerson Mnangagwa received a major boost when Prophet Magaya agreed to come in as sponsor.

Zimbabwe’s Warriors are set to clash against Zambia’s Chipolopolo at the National Sports on December 23 and Magaya will fund for both teams.

Earlier on, Zimbabwean Legends will have taken on Bafana Legends at the same venue.

“As the flagship sport in the country as ZIFA we believe football should take the leading role in supporting the new dispensation and we are very grateful to the prophet for agreeing to come on board and partner us once again,” said Chiyangwa.

Magaya confirmed the deal and said he was humbled that ZIFA had come for assistance.

“My partnership with ZIFA is standing and I will always be there for them,” said Magaya.
