Machazane Joins Gunners

Kudzanayi Machazane has ditched Triangle for Botswana premiership side Extension Gunners on a two year contract.

Machazane who joined Triangle mid-season last year, impressed the Lobatse based outfit when he went for trials last month.

The former Highlanders and Tsholotsho striker said he was ecstatic with the move.

“They called me for trials and I gave me an offer which is better than what I was getting from Triangle. I am really happy because Gunners are one of the biggest teams in Botswana," said Machazane.

“People might say it’s a step backwards joining the Botswana league but if you look at the transformation that is taking place in that country, you can see that they developing well with clubs being run professionally. Above all what matters most is also what you get as a player at the end of the day, because you also have to look at the financial rewards."

Machazane who is young brother to Dynamos defender Marshal, joins former Hwange player Desire Bafana at Extension Gunners. The club is currently fifth on the log standings with 15 round of matches played so far.
