LIVE SPORTSDAY: Chunga off to a winning start while CAPS United are held

That is it for today, action continues with the Euros and we will be giving you those reports. From the SportsZone team it's bye for now.

Ngezi Platinum coach Clifton Kadirira is not happy with his side's performance and a 2-1 loss at home against City is no something he was not looking forward to. Harare City had to come from behind for the win: "We played well but eended up losing. We are still new in the league and we learn with each passing game. We failed to convert the chances that came our way."

RESULTS: CAPS United 0, Triangle 0; Ngezi Platinum 1, Harare City 2; Mutare City 0, Bulawayo City 1.

1651: A fan runs onto the pitch and a stop if forced. 10 minutes added at Sakubva

Moses Chunga gets a win in his first match in charge of Harare City after taking over from fired Taurai Mangworo something that Ronald Chitiyo feels will get City going on. "Winning away is always a great advantage and i hope that we will continue on this trend. I am happy I scored and lasted 90 minutes on my return a sign that i am fit"

1646: Three minutes added at the National Sports Stadium.

1645: Four minutes added time at Baobab

1640: It indeed is a good day for the away teams so far, none of them is trailing. Actually both Harare City and Bulawayo City are on the front foot. Harare City are still 2-1 leaders away to Ngezi and so is Bulawayo City who are still holding on to that 1-0 first half lead at Sakubva. But it is still 0-0 between CAPS United and travelling Trianlge at the National Sports Stadium.

1630: Makepekepe have not beaten Triangle in their last three league meetings. The last time Caps United won a Premiership match against the “Sugar Sugar Boys” was in May 2014. Despite enjoying one of their best starts to a season in over a decade Makepekepe gaffer Lloyd Chitembwe was wary of the statistics as well as Triangle’s form prior to this game.

1620: SUB CAPS United make a substitution here and coach Lloyd Chitembwe pulls out Abbas Amidu for Simba Nhivi

1616: 62' GOAL: William Mandondo connects well with an assist from Ronald Chitiyo the scorer of Harare City's first and that puts Chunga's side ahead. Ngezi 1, Harare 2.

1603: SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

1547: HALF TIME. Ngezi 1, Harare, 1; Mutare 0, Bulawayo 1; CAPS 0, Triangle 0.

1530: Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa is part of the crowd at the Baobab Stadium. Probabaly that is to try and read into Ngezi Platinum's play because Clifton Kadurira and his charges will be travelling to Harare for a date against the ailing giants. A win for the yesterday in Gweru might just be a kick-start Mutasa was looking for.

1520: GOAL 16' Donald Teguru heads home to get Ngezi level just a couple of minutes after Moses Chunga's Harare City took the lead. Ngezi 1, Harare 1.

1518: GOAL 14' Ronald Chitiyo gets Harare City ahead of the hosts Ngezi Platinum at Baobab Stadium. Ngezi 1, Harare 0.

1517: GOAL 12' MKHULULI puts Bulawayo City ahead as they are way to Mutare City at the Sakubva Stadium and that is the first goal of the day in all premiership matches. Mutare 0, Bulawayo 1.

1430: Carlos Max and Stuart Murisa part of the about 2000 people crowd at the National Sports Stadium for the game between CAPS and Triangle

1420: My name is Paul "KOLO" Munyuki and out in the field for us will be Howard Musonza who is in Ngezi for the match between visitors Harare City who take on Ngezi Platinum.

1410: Remember Highlanders are not in action this afternoon, their game against Border Strikers has been postponed as the Bulawayo giants have quite a number of plauers away with the Warriors who drew 2-2 against Swaziland in a Cosafa Castle cup pre-qialifier in Naimbia yesterday.

1400: CAPS United director Farai Jere says they will have to respect the DeMbare fans who passed on yesterday and he believe a win today against travellng Triangle United will complete the honour. A win for the Green Machine today at the National Sports Stdium will see them move top of the table.

1355: Seven Dynamos Football Club supporters perished on the spot and 16 were seriously injured when an Iveco Sprinter they were travelling in burst a rear tyre, veered off the road and rolled three times in Battlefields on the Harare-Bulawayo Highway yesterday morning.
