KWESE SPORTS lead the race to take over from SuperSport as the broadcasters of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The PSL and broadcasting company SuperSport International ended their five-year marriage on Friday.

The PSL immediately declared they are now open to tenders, with Econet’s media channel Kwese now the frontrunners to take over the deal.

PSL chief executive officer Kenny Ndebele confirmed that the television rights would be put to tender.

“Meanwhile, we would like to advise our stakeholders that we will be inviting tenders for the PSL media rights,” said Ndebele.
